2013 Volcom Fiji Pro - Final Day Highlights!

Tavarua, Fiji -- June 12th, 2013 - The inhabitants of Namotu and Tavarua Islands were up and stirring before dawn this morning as it was pretty well known that a champion would be crowned later this day. The contest directors held off for a couple of hours to get past the high tide mark and then, at 9:15am Fiji Time, the first horn sounded and the 2013 Volcom Fiji Pro quarter-finals were underway at Cloudbreak.

Misteris de Montserrat (part 2)

Casualment em va arribar a les mans un article que parlava sobre la visita dels nazis a Montserrat. Jo estava fent una tesi d'historia i vaig decidir verificar els fets de mes aprop. La meva investigació em va portar a descobrir tot una série de misteris i llegendes que envolten aquesta misteriosa muntanya.

24 agost 2009, als 51 anys d'edat, una de les escalades veritables llegendes, Maurizio "Manolo" Zanolla, també conegut com Il Mag (El Mag), va fer la primera ascensió d'Eternit, ~ 9a, al Vetter Feltrine, Itàlia.

Fidel al seu joc, Eternit és una paret vertical sense problemes amb només prou petita manté perquè sigui possible (per a alguns) per pujar. Pel que jo sé, encara no ha vist una repetició.

Manolo va pujar el seu primer 7c + a 1981, 8b en 1986, 8c, el 1991, el 2006 9a i 9a + a 2008. L'any passat, als 54, va fer la primera ascensió de Roby Present, 8c +, a Val Noana.
